POSITION:
Sales Manager
Produce Careers, Inc.
is seeking a Sales Manager for a leading vegetable plug
transplant producer.
This is a newly created position for the Southwestern US
territory.
Job duties shall include:

Identify
sales targets in the Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas growing
regions. Main focus will be on chile pepper and watermelon
growers.

Qualify
sales leads and develop presentations to convert qualified
leads into new sales.

Develop
"trial programs" to convert direct seed growers into
transplant growers.

Service
the business once obtained.
-
Coordinate shipping and service with the operations team in
Yuma
-
Attend
trade shows and constantly develop new sales leads.

Produce
reports for the COO.
This position will involve 50%
travel. Ideally this person will be based in the Yuma area but
for the right person with the right contacts, you can be based
anywhere in the Desert Southwest.
Candidate requirements:

5+ years
of sales experience in ag industry.

Must have
substantial industry contacts. Knows the farmers in the
target regions(NM Has sold ag inputs into the farm sector
(seed, fertilizer, machinery, etc).

Understands the farming process - especially with
watermelons and peppers.

Self
management skills.

Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
-
Bilingual
preferred
Position includes base salary of
$75K - $90K (DOE), commission, bonus, 401(k), health insurance,
paid vacation, sick leave, vehicle, cell phone, and relocation
assistance.
