East West Seeds India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic individual to lead and coordinate our Vegetable Pathology program.

This position will require direct involvement in the overall management and direction of Pathology for India. Responsibilities include monitoring plant health of all trials and developing and implementing projects for new emerging vegetable pathogens. This position is stationed in Bangalore, but will require travel and support for all R&D locations throughout India and assist the production and sales staff in identifying emerging pathogens in the field, and interact with industry and university groups. This is a very practical hands-on position that will supply direction for vegetable breeding programs.

This position requires a minimum of M.Sc. Degree in Plant Pathology with 5 to 10 years experience in identifying vegetable diseases. Individuals with a B.Sc. Degree and extensive pathology experience related to Indian vegetable production will also be considered.

Other requirements include excellent laboratory skills, understanding of molecular testing methods, microbiology background, and knowledge of plant culture under controlled environment. Also required are supervisory experience, computer and database skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and good written and oral communications needed.
