General
Manager, Operations
The Rasi Seeds, a leading Bt cotton, cereals and oil Seed
Company is expanding their vegetable seed business in India and
Asia. Vegetable Division of Rasi seeds will locate their main R
& D facilities at Bangalore, near Delhi and Kullu, Sales and
marketing in all potential areas of vegetable growing,
Operational centers in Bangalore and Gurgaon and Production
locations throughout India based on crop need and agro-climatic
zones. Vegetable division which is being managed by experience
seed professionals will provide unique opportunities to
experience professional from seed sector to enhance their
professional and financial growth.

for following position.
Position: GM, OPERATION
Location: Gurgaon
Purpose
The selected candidate has
to manage and coordinate all operational activities
including seed conditioning, packaging quality, logistic and
Inventory Company wide.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Plant Operations,
Customer Service & Logistics Department and Lab/Quality
Assurance Department providing leadership, supervision, and
guidance with a team approach.
- Responsible for managing
inventory availability, evaluating appropriate action and
best use, developing system tools for analysis and
management, and serving as focal point for inventory
questions.
- Prioritize and coordinate
plant conditioning and work-order flow with Sales and
Customer Service to meet and/or exceed customer
expectations.
- Quality Control - Manage
seed lab thru AGM QA to ensure all lots are tested on a
timely basis to ensure accurate labeling and marketability.
- Work closely with
production and sales department to coordinate new crop
deliveries to plants and keep supply in line with demand
utilizing current and developing new information tools.
- Optimum travel is
required.
Educational Qualifications
and experience
- B.Tech in agriculture
engineering or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven managerial
experience.
- Results oriented.
- Excellent
communication/computer skills
- Knowledge in seed
processing/logistic/inventory management
- Ability to interface with
management, growers, staff and other functional areas of the
company
Skills required:
- Must possess excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate
with knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, with a
high level of time management and organizational skill.
- Must be willing to work
outdoors even during inclement weather conditions.
