Manager, Product Development
The Rasi Seeds, a leading Bt
cotton, cereals and oil Seed Company is expanding their
vegetable seed business in India and Asia. Vegetable Division of
Rasi seeds will locate their main R & D facilities at Bangalore,
near Delhi and Kullu, Sales and marketing in all potential areas
of vegetable growing, Operational centers in Bangalore and
Gurgaon and Production locations throughout India based on crop
need and agro-climatic zones. Vegetable division which is being
managed by experience seed professionals will provide unique
opportunities to experience professional from seed sector to
enhance their professional and financial growth.

following position.
Position: GM Product Development
Location: Gurgaon
Purpose
The successful candidate
will be responsible for strategic planning and
implementation of product development (variety performance
trialing) programs .This position will act as the strong
linkage from research & breeding stage to production &
sales.
Responsibilities
- Developing new product
commercialization processes to position experimental
products for successful delivery to the market; designing
field trials in support of variety development that are
focused on established program
- Develop an extensive trial
program for all vegetable crops.
- Set up and evaluate trials
in coordination with, and act as a liaison between, sales
and breeders.
- Will play a major role in
product advancement and successful launching of the products
in the markets
- The candidate should have
a competent level of knowledge of the competitor’s products.
- Establish and maintain a
productive working relationship with breeders, sales and
marketing, dealers, growers and related industry personnel.
Educational Qualifications
and experience
- M.Sc/Ph.D. in Agricultural
Sciences particularly in agronomy
- More than 10 years related
work experience required.
- Basic knowledge of growing
of all vegetable crops, as well as the cultural practices
being followed in different regions
- Thorough knowledge of
fresh market vegetables grown in all the regions of the
country
- Ability to travel
extensively in the country
Skills required
- Must possess excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate
with knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, with a
high level of time management and organizational skill.
- Must be willing to work
outdoors even during inclement weather conditions.
- Able to work
independently, with little or no immediate supervision.
