Production Managers / Production Officers (several
positions)
The Rasi Seeds, a leading Bt cotton, cereals and oil Seed
Company is expanding their vegetable seed business in India and
Asia. Vegetable Division of Rasi seeds will locate their main R
& D facilities at Bangalore, near Delhi and Kullu, Sales and
marketing in all potential areas of vegetable growing,
Operational centers in Bangalore and Gurgaon and Production
locations throughout India based on crop need and agro-climatic
zones. Vegetable division which is being managed by experience
seed professionals will provide unique opportunities to
experience professional from seed sector to enhance their
professional and financial growth.

Position: Regional Production Managers / Production
Officers (several positions)
Location: Production areas
Purpose
The successful candidate
will be responsible for implementation of seed production
procedures and programs The candidates will be responsible
for establishing quality seed production locations for all
vegetable crops.
Responsibilities
- The candidates in this
position will provide assistance in all areas of production
of vegetable areas
- Organize farmers for seed
production of Hybrids and OP’s of vegetable seeds
- Assist with organizing
seedlings raising and seedlings distribution.
- Monitor fields for
agronomic and morphological observations.
- Meet with growers to
discuss management practices of production fields
- Perform field tasks for
growing and maintaining a healthy crop such as hoeing weeds,
irrigating, fertilizing, rouging, etc.
- From time to time a short
out of town travel will be required.
Educational qualifications
and experience
- B.Sc/M.Sc in agriculture,
Horticulture or a related field.
- Basic understanding of
agronomy and crop growing especially vegetable crops.
- Must be able to tolerate
outside field working conditions such as hot and sunny,
windy, or cold and wet conditions.
- Demonstrate ability to
work with minimal direct supervision once trained.
- Responsible person, able
to work independently and communicate issues truthfully and
accurately.
- Able to manage task
oriented projects and pay attention to details.
- Able to work with MS Word,
Excel and Outlook.
- The Production officer’s
duties may require periodic work outside normal working
hours, including weekend and holiday work.
- The Production officer’s
works on assignments that are complex in nature where
judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems
and making recommendations.
Skills required
- Proven track record of
excellent relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Strong oral and written
communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with
all functional departments.
- Strong organizational
skills.
- Strong Interpersonal
skills
- Experience with Microsoft
Office systems.
