Having a great deal of industry experience at a national level with Agricultural-Universities/Institutes, progressive farmers and public/private seed organizations.

I have a strong back ground in crop production, plant protection control measures (chemicals & bio.), marketing, processing, packaging & forwarding, strategic planning and management. Good experience in consulting, training to state and agri. officers for up-to-date knowledge and project implementation, event handling, mass media of communication, organizing national/state/district/village seminars of seed dealers'/farmers'/subject matter specialists'/ agri. officers/supervisors etc. to highlight valued plans and achieve the goal.

Strong experience in seed production and quality assurance, seed business management and to develop an infrastructure for high quality and good productivity of the cultivars. I also have a very wide and significant experience in onion and garlic crop (bulb and seed) production, plant protection and Pre/Post harvest management/storage.

Professional Experience:

Having an experience of 33 years working in different disciplines of seed businesses, as well as developmental work for agricultural fields of Indian farmers across the country.

1. Organization
National Horticultural Research and Development Foundation

Role:

• Management of seed production, seed quality monitoring, plant protection\processing & packaging, marketing and Pre\Post Harvest management and storage.
• Arranged many seminars at different levels i.e. national\state\district at different destinations in India. Arranged many farmers' group study tours from their places to different agri. Institutes\central or state agri. Universities\K.V.Ks and research-farms etc. to update their skills.

 2. Organization

National Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Federation of India (NAFED)

Role:

• Worked as manager of seeds & pesticides, horticulture, onion infrastructure and development at different onion growing pockets in all over India, creation of facilities of improved storages in India, streamlining improvement in the transport, packaging, shorting & grading systems and survey of various overseas market to promote export from India.
• Marketing of foods and vegetables (Export/Import).
• Executed a policy-scheme of Ministry of Commerce and Agriculture of Government of India.
• Implementation of Central Sector Schemes and Projects, like National Horticulture Mission (NHM), Integrated Development of Vegetables (IDV), Directorate of Arecanut and Spices Development, Calicut "DASD" (Dept. of Horticulture Ministry of Agriculture Govt. of India).

3. Organization

Haryana Seeds Development Corporation (HSDC)

Role:

• Management of seed production, plant protection, processing and packaging, marketing. Pre & Post Harvest Management/Storage.

4. Organization

National Seeds Corporation (NSC)

Role:

• Management of seed certification and production of breeder to certified class of seeds. Seed
• Processing and packaging, marketing and Pre & Post Harvest Management/Storage.

Area of Operation: During my working tenure, my area of operation was mainly in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, M.P, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Currently, I am working as Technical Head in New Delhi with NHRDF.

Some Accomplishments:  

1)     I contributed a lot to establish NHRDF as a top onion seed producing organization in Saurashtra (Gujarat) region in the year 1991-1995.

2)      In the year 1978-1980, I introduced and highlighted the Kharif onion bulb production and marketing of onion seed N-53 in Haryana, Punjab and western UP successfully, and helped boosting the socio-economic status of the farmers.

3)      Successful seed production management of Fenugreek, Spinach, Mustard, Wheat and Barley in Delhi, western UP and Rajasthan. These areas are adversely affected by high PH value of soil and brackish water and salt affected soil.
