Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (I) Pvt. Ltd. Company is pioneer in
vegetable and flower seeds industry and first in India. It’s one
(R&D) office is at New Delhi. Indo-American Hybrid seeds has
developed many F1 hybrids, especial strains and varieties by
innovative hybrid breeding method and offer a full range of high
quality seeds for growers, home gardeners, fresh market and
processing vegetables and flowers for glass house and out door
production.
Job Responsibilities
Research:
_ Collection, maintenance, evaluations and
characterization of germplasms for different vegetable crops.
_ Development of new parental lines and its utilization in
new hybrids for different vegetable crops.
_ Transfer of useful traits into elite parental background
for different vegetable crops.
_ Identification and development of superior hybrids and
synthetics verities of Cauliflower, Cabbage, Tomato, Brinjal,
Chilli, Okra, Bottle gourd, Bitter gourd, and Cucumber.
_ Identification of strong self - incompatibility system
and its utilization in hybrid seed production in Cauliflower and
Cabbage.
_ Selection of self - core variety in Carrot (Tropical and
Temperate) and wilt resistant segregant in Garden pea, Deep
crimson red coloured roots in Beet root and heat tolerant,
superior quality roots in Radish.
_ Development of early and late open pollinated varieties
in Radish, Carrot, Turnip, Beet root, Knol- Kohl and Leafy
vegetables having disease tolerance for different agro -climatic
zones.
The hybrid varieties in following vegetable crops has been
developed with my collaboration.

PRODUCTION:
Production, maintenance and supply of parental lines to

large-scale commercial seed production of hybrids.
PRODUCT EVALUATION:
MULTI LOCATIONAL TRIAL: -
Evaluation of hybrids, special strains and varieties at the main
research center and other farms located in different agro
climatic zones.
EXPERIMENTAL TRIAL:
Conducting experimental and observational trials of different
vegetable crops in Delhi.
Statistical and biometrical analysis of field and laboratory
data of all vegetable crops.
EXTENSION WORK:
Organizing the field demonstration in training programs for the
farm staff, new recruits of research scientist, seed production
staff, marketing staff and farmers for adoption of latest
scientific technologies in vegetable crops.
MANAGEMENT:-
Technical and administrative management of research and
production Farms located in Delhi, Haryana, H.P. Hills and
Uttranchal Hills. Management and supervision of nursery in green
house as well as in the field for raising healthy seedlings of
vegetable crops.
