EXPERIENCE
17 year experience in Rice Breeding

1.        Worked as Research Fellow under Project “Promotion of Research & Development Efforts on Hybrid in Selected crops – Rice” in Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding at G.B. Pant University and Technology, Pantnagar, Distt. – Udham Singh Nagar (Nainital) from 15-04-1991 to 15-01-1996.

2.        Worked as Research Associate under Project “Promotion of Research and development efforts on Hybrid in selected crops – Rice” in the division of genetics, Indian agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 16-01-1996 to  27-01-1999

3.        I worked as Manager (R&D/Production) in Indo-American  Hybrid Seeds (India) Pvt. Ltd on hybrid rice from 28-01-1999 to 03-05-2007

4.        At present I am working as Paddy Breeder in Nitesh  Agrico Pvt. Ltd on hybrid rice since 12-05-2007

Achievements :

1.        Assisted to Development of Rice Hybrid Pant Sankar Dhan 1 and Pant CMS 1A at G.B. Pant University & Technology, Pantnagar.

2.        Involvement in Development of Hybrid Rice Pusa RH 10, and CMS line Pusa 5A at IARI, New Delhi.

3.        Assisted in the Development of Aromatic Rice Hybrids Indam 100-001 and Indam 100-003.

4.        Assisted in the Development of Non-aromatic Early Rice Hybrids Indam 200-004, Indam 200-008.

5.        Assisted in the Development of Medium duration Rice Hybrids Indam 200-011 and Indam 200-012.

6.        Assisted in the Development of similar to Mahsuri grain type rice hybrid Indam 200-014.

7.        Assisted to Development of an aromatic CMS line IAHS 01A.

Pipeline hybrids:

1.        Developed early duration long bold grain type rice hybrid Indam 200-022.

2.        Developed Medium duration rice hybrids Indam 200-017 and entered in Co-ordinated Trial during 2007 and Indam 200-018, Indam 200-19, Indam 200-020, Indam 200-021 are in under internal testing in Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (I) Pvt. Ltd.

Training:

1.                               Attended 3 days training programme on “Hybrid Rice Seed Production Technology” organized by Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad sponsored by ICAR from 12-04-1993 to 14-04-1993

2.                               Attended 6 days training programme on “Hybrid Rice Technology” organized by G.B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnaga,r District, Udhamsinghnagar  (Nainital) 263145 from 26-10-1995 to 31-10-1995.

3.                               Attended 5days training programme on “Hybrid Rice Technology” organized by Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad from 27-03-2001 to 31-03-2001.
