• Assigned to re-establish hybrid long-day onion sales in the area.

1979-85: Seed Production Representative, Nampa, Idaho.
• Responsible for production of sweet corn and garden bean seed.
• Developed the idea and trial work that led to the creation of the Humidifier
for garden bean seed to raise the moisture level, thus increasing seed germination and quality.
• Devised new methods of producing early-maturity sweet corn that lowered production costs.
• Increased bean seed production for difficult-to-produce varieties.
• Assisted with onion and pea seed production.
