| Advanta Seeds pacific sets Field Day for June 19 |
| March 17, 1998 Advanta Seeds Pacific (ASP) has scheduled its 1998 "Come to the Country" field day for Friday, June 19, 1998. the event will take place at ASP's research facility and corporate offices near Albany, Oregon. Registration is a 9:30 AM with tours and guest speakers beginning at 10:00 AM. A noon "country style" luncheon will be served.For those wishing to learn more about ASP's research program, an afternoon tour will be held at it's Santiam Research Farm. Visitors to the field day will have a chance to check out future varieties plus numerous ASP turfgrass trials including shade trials, drought tolerance research, and ongoing lab research. Featured speakers will be plant geneticist David Huff, Ph.D,. Penn State University, and turfgrass consultant Steve langlois of New Jersey. Dr. Huff will talk on the important new role that annual bluegrass is playing on golf courses and Mr. Langlois will talk about the turfgrass trials he has been conducting for ASP. In addition, ASP Forage Specialist, Adrian VanderHave, will bring distributors up-to-date with the company's expanding forage porgramme. "Come to the Country" and see what the future holds.
