| Advanta Seeds Pacific builds up forage program |
| Albany, Oregon April 2, 1998 In a move to strengthen its forage marketing program, Advanta Seeds Pacific, Inc. has name an Oregon couple to serve as consultants to the company. Don and Virginia Wilkinson of Yoncalla, who have many years of grazing management experience between them, will be involved in a number of activities for ASP, said David Holman, General Manager. In addition to serving as consultants, they will also edit a quarterly newsletter, named "The Grasslander", and conduct grazing and grassland management schools for ASP across the United States. "It is our goal to make the name Advanta Seeds pacific synonymous with high quality grasses for grazing", said Holman. he added that ASP is now building a distribution system that will effectively deliver its products to the marketplace. The newsletter is designed to enhance ASP's overall forage management philosophy of 'grazing for profit', said Holman. "The Grasslander" will contain technical and product information, management tips and other related news about the marketplace. Holman called ASP's forage program "a refreshing new approach to forage grass marketing. We are taking a technical approach that, in addition to the newsletter and schools, will include strip and farmer demo trials as well as dealer training. Rounding out the program will be a diverse line of ASP forage products." ASP has recently bolstered its forage product catalog with proprietary grass and Brassica seed varieties developed by its parent company, Advanta. Advanta is the world's fourth largest seed research, production and marketing company. The Wilkinsons will be working with Holman and ASP sales specialists Adrian VanderHave and Scott Harer.
