L.L. Olds Seed Company in Madison, Wisconsin and Advanta Seeds Pacific, Inc. in Albany, Oregon are pleased to announce that the Advanta Group has been granted the exclusive sales and marketing rights of Orion orchard grass for the United States by Van Dyke Seed Company in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Orion is a late maturity orchard grass that blends very well with alfalfa because of similar maturity. It has been a popular orchard grass in Wisconsin for the last several years. The University of Wisconsin test results indicate: "Orion - This variety is extremely late in maturity, making it an excellent choice for mixture with alfalfa or red clover. It has high feed value in such a mixture."

In Wisconsin and directly adjacent areas, L.L. Olds Seed Co. will continue to market Orion. In the other orchard grass areas of the United States, Advanta Seeds Pacific, Inc. will be handling sales and promotion.
