Winnipeg, Manitoba
September 21, 1998
We are pleased to announce that farmers will now be able to buy LIBERTY LINK
technology from Cargill Seed
Retailers.
Most of you are very familiar with this canola technology. As a package, LIBERTY LINK
herbicide, combined with excellent varieties, represent a key technology tool for Western
Canadian producers.
The details are as follows:
Both Independent Retailers and Cargill Farm Service Centres will have access to a brand
new open pollinated LIBERTY LINK variety!
2631LL is a Svalof Weibull-bred open pollinated variety. In it's testing phase, it has
shown to be very early, and yielded higher than Excel.
We expect that 1999 will offer you an opportunity to put this variety through it's paces
on your farm.
You will be able to order both the 2631LL and LIBERTY herbicide for this variety from
Cargill.
You will be able to purchase Invigor 2153 through Cargill Farm Services Centres!
This variety is suitable for all Argentine zones. It's two days earlier than Excel and has
a track record of delivering the type of yields that a hybrid can.
The addition of LIBERTY LINK technology to your product offering allows you to deliver big
benefits to your growers, including ...
* superb genetics that compete well with weeds.
* a fast acting, one-pass herbicide system with a unique mode of action.
* a canola system that fits all tillage practices (including direct seeding) and allows
maximum crop rotation flexibility (no carryover).N1332 |
