Watch for this new LIBERTY LINK canola variety this summer. We'll have test plots out and
we will have seed available for commercial sale in 1999.
We'll have a better handle on this variety once we put it through the paces this summer.
Up to this point, the variety has been impressive in co-op testing.
Yields: It has a good yield potential. Yields have exceeded or equaled
Excel/Legend/Cyclone
checks.
Maturity: About 88 days in tests in the long season zone.
Height: roughly 39 to 42 inches in trials.
Standability: Was ranked as 1.8 on a scale of 1 to 5 (a rating of 1.0 is perfect).
