 NIELS BIRK ISAKSEN has as of October 1997 been appointed manager of
the flower seed production of varieties bred by Daehnfeldt. Niels Birk takes care of the logistics between the sales department, the seed
production, and the seed cleaning. Niels is responsible for making sure that the sales
department receives the quantities and the quality requested of all the varieties bred by
Daehnfeldt, either through production in greenhouses in Denmark or through production
abroad. Besides these responsibilities Niels Birk is also responsible for lot trials
and stock seed production.
Niels started with Daehnfeldt in March 1997, working in the seed
production unit. When this unit was split up into two units - flower seed and vegetable
seed - Niels was appointed manager of the flower seed production unit.
Niels Birk lsaksen graduated as a Master of Horficulural
Science in 1983. After graduation he started teaching at a gardener school. Law on he got
a job as production and sales manager at a pot plant nursery. For the last 10 years beore
joining Daehnfeldt he worked as adviser for outdoor vegetable and soft fruit production in
the farmers organisation.
