Mapping and Sequencing: Why ?
January 1998

AGROGENE's sixth annual seminar - February 26 & 27, 1998 - Hotel Novotel Paris Vaugirard, France

Genetic maps, based on the use of molecular markers, and sequencing are making a considerable contribution to plant and animal breeding and in human health care.

These tools allow one to determine precisely the regions of the genome involved in the expression of interesting characters and give a global overview of the genome organization.

AGROGENE is organising its sixth annual seminar, with simultaneous Frech/English translation, to serve as a meeting place and information exchange around the themes of mapping and sequencing:

  • The technologies;
  • Applications in plants, animals and humans;
  • Diagnostics.

In addition, there will be an exhibition of the latest technologies and services.

All this will facilitate the exchange of information between the participants.
