Pickseed is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) executed with XINGYE CORPORATION of the Province of Shandong, Peoples Republic of China.

The signing ceremony took place between Mr. XU Wei Li, Chairman of the Board and President of Shandong Xingye United Group Co. Ltd. of Jinan, and Mr. Thos. J. Pick, President of Pickseed.

Shandong Province has a population of 89,000,000 people and is climatically similar to much of Canada and the northern, cool season states of the U.S.

Xingye is a broadly diversified company with both manufacturing and agricultural enterprises, the latter including a vegetable seed business.

The terms of the MOU envisage a broad based cooperation from the testing / identification stage through to eventual licensed production opportunities.

The Honourable Li Chung-ting, Governor of the Province of Shandong and the Honourable W. Saunderson, Chairman of the Ontario International Trade Corporation, also attended the ceremonial signing. Additional MOU's were signed with other leading Canadian enterprises.

Pickseed views this agreement as an excellent vehicle to expand its rapidly growing portfolio of Chinese business in both Turf seed and Forage crop seeds for its businesses in Oregon and across Canada.
