October 26, 1998Great Lakes Hybrids has dropped the technology fee
on the following products: 4848IZT, 5223IZT and 5836IZT. These hybrids are
genetically resistant to imidazolinone herbicides, including Lightning®, Contour®
and Resolve®.
Also, American Cyanamid and Great Lakes Hybrids have
teamed up to enhance the
profitability of IMI-Corn hybrids (GLH's IZT). Growers can receive a rebate on IMI-Corn
seed purchases of up to $3 per unit when an application of Lightning herbicide is used on
those acres.
Orders must be 36-unit minimum of imidazolinone hybrids, and Lightning must be applied on
100 acres. Rebates are paid through American Cyanamid's Harvest Partners program, and
orders must be received by the following dates to receive a rebate:
December 10, 1998 - $3 per unit rebate
January 15, 1999 - $2 per unit rebate
March 15, 1999 - $1 per unit rebate
