OVID, Michigan
October 26, 1998

Great Lakes Hybrids has dropped the technology fee   on the following products: 4848IZT, 5223IZT and 5836IZT. These hybrids are   genetically resistant to imidazolinone herbicides, including Lightning®, Contour®   and Resolve®.

Also, American Cyanamid and Great Lakes Hybrids have teamed up to enhance the

Orders must be 36-unit minimum of imidazolinone hybrids, and Lightning must be applied on 100 acres. Rebates are paid through American Cyanamid's Harvest Partners program, and orders must be received by the following dates to receive a rebate:

December 10, 1998 - $3 per unit rebate
January 15, 1999 - $2 per unit rebate
March 15, 1999 - $1 per unit rebate

Great Lakes Hybrids is affiliated with KWS in Germany, a seed-only company, and has research stations in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa and Puerto Rico. This research program has been able to produce top performing conventional genetics for incorporation of the new transgenic traits.
