Siegers Seed Company is proud to annouce that Paul Sawyer, their regional manager for Florida, has been elected president of the Florida Seed Association.

The Florida Seed Association was established in 1932, and is composed of professionals in the seed business and related industries. The functions of the FSA are:
- to provide scholarships at the University of Florida for agricultural students;
- to monitor and provide input on legislative issues affecting the seed industry in Florida and nationwide;
- to provide educational seminars for growers in conjunction with the University of Florida, and
- to provide a forum for all seed related issues.

Paul Sawyer has been working for Siegers Seed Company as a seed consultant for three years. Prior to pursuing a career in the seed business, Paul worked as a crop consultant, writing pest management programs for commercial growers. In addition to his new duties as president of the Florida Seed Association, Paul also serves on the board of directors for the Florida Watermelon Association and on committees for the National Watermelon Association.
