Halfback is a new Chantenay-type hybrid that typically delivers high yields of dark orange, prime quality roots early in the season--a few days later than Fullback.

Designed with Midwest and Northwest processor markets in mind, this variety has yielded very uniform, blunt-tipped roots, about 7 to 8-inches in length and 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 inches in diameter.

Halfback holds well in the field and is tolerant to premature bolting.
