Sun Leaper is a new "hot-set type," determinate hybrid tomato offering a combination of attractive features.

Even under high night temperatures this variety has continued to set marketable fruit, and its improved plant vigor and excellent fruit quality compare favorably to other hot-set varieties.

Developed by Dr. Randy Gardner at North Carolina University, Sun Leaper has produced firm, flattened-globe to deep-oblate shaped fruit weighing approximately 9.3 ounces early in the season.

Sun Leaper's vigorous, determinate plant provides good cover and has tolerated heavy pruning to enhance fruit size.

Sun Leaper has shown resistance to Verticillium wilt race 1and Fusarium wilt races 1 and 2, and tolerance to Stemphylium. It is comparable to Heatwave and Solar Set.
