Garst and BASF officials announce an exciting new promotion designed for corn growers who are looking to combine proven Garst IT corn hybrids with the affordable and effective weed control offered with Lightning™ herbicide.

"We are very excited to offer Garst customers this type of cost-saving program," explains Gene Kassmeyer, crop product manager for Garst Seed Company. "With this program, corn growers can select the Garst IT corn hybrids that are right for their acres and get the cost-effective weed control that Lightning herbicide is known for."

Now growers can purchase both their Garst IT corn hybrids and Lightning herbicide with 0% interest when they finance their seed on the Garst Gold Plan and herbicide through Farm Plan.

Growers can take advantage of the Garst Gold Plan and 0% interest by contacting their local Garst Guy or calling 1-888-Go-Garst.

Growers will then select two ways to save money on their Lightning herbicide purchase. Option one is to receive a $2 per acre discount on their Lightning herbicide purchase if made by January 10, 2003. Option two is to finance their Lightning herbicide purchase through Farm Plan and receive 0% interest financing when paid off by October 1, 2003.
