Koppert Canada
Limited announced today it has acquired exclusive Canadian
distribution rights to RootShield® Granules and
RootShield® Drench which were recently approved for
sale in Canada. These new products are based on the patented
fungal organism, Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22, which
was developed at Cornell University. RootShield® is
produced by BioWorks, Inc. of Geneva, NY.
Commenting on the agreement, Paul Goodspeed, President of
Koppert Canada Limited stated: "The addition of the RootShield®
product line from BioWorks, Inc. is an important step in the
growth of our biological control business. RootShield®
is a proven product that will provide Canadian greenhouse
growers with an effective new tool against Pythium,
Rhizoctonia and Fusarium."
