Siegers Seed Company is delighted to announce that CEO Rick Siegers has been elected as chairman of the Vegetable & Flower Seed  Division of the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA).

Siegers main duty as chairman is to represent the interests of the  vegetable and flower seed industry at all ASTA meetings. He is also responsible for chairing ASTA's Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference (to be held this year January 25-29 in Austin, Texas.). Siegers also holds a position on  the ASTA Investment Committee, and recently was appointed to the Organic Seed Policy Committee.

ASTA s mission is to be an effective voice of action in all matters concerning the development, marketing and free movement of seed, associated products and services throughout the world. ASTA promotes the development of better seed to produce better crops for a better quality of life. Their motto, First-the Seed, expresses the basic premise quality seed is essential for growing quality crops.

Siegers says he is honored to serve as chairman of the Vegetable & Flower Seed Division, and is looking forward to an interesting and productive year in service to the seed industry.
