Gilroy, California
January 26, 2004
Germain’s
Technology Group, Custom Coating and Enhancements Inc.,
Gilroy, California, has been granted organic approval from the
Californian Crop Improvement Association (CCIA) for its flagship
seed coating and pelleting products, ‘ProFlo’ and ‘ProPellet L’.
‘ProFlo’ and ‘ProPellet L’ are popular seed coatings and pellets
for lettuce and other vegetable crops. Their introduction in the
organic portfolio fully corresponds to the increased demand for
suitable seed planting technology by growers under organic
production regimes.
‘ProFlo’ and ‘ProPellet L’ join their stable mate ‘FilCoat’,
which was granted CCIA organic status in September 2003. These
three coatings and pellets are NOP compliant and can be used on
organic seed.
Germain’s Technology Group recognises the importance of organic
certification and has a cohesive programme of registrations at
its European and US locations. Our US accreditations of 2003 and
2004 complement those granted to our British and Dutch
locations, respectively in 2001 and 2002.
Cathy Farr, North America Operational Business Manager for
Germain’s Technology Group’s seed coating and enhancement
business, says: “We are very pleased to be able to offer organic
growers an increased choice of quality coatings and pellets,
which comply with their certified organic status. Our business
is to provide seed technology solutions, which respond to the
needs of all crop-growing situations, and organic growers can
now fully source the seed coating products they need. “
“Our Gilroy team looks forward to starting the timely supply of
this extended range of organic seed coatings, and continues its
sustained programme of further organic registration of our high
performance seed technology enhancements, including seed
priming”.
Germain's Technology Group,
