Eurofins
Scientific, the leading provider of bioanalytical services
to the global Food, Dietary Supplement and Biotech industries,
has established a client liaison office in Southern California
to meet growing demand for high tech laboratory services and
support.
Eurofins Scientific, the global leader in
bioanalytical services for the Food, Feed, Dietary Supplement,
Pet Food, Animal Health and Biotech industries, has established
a liaison office in Los Angeles, CA to supplement the sales and
consulting efforts of its five US laboratories. This new
satellite office will especially support the dietary supplement
and natural products analytical services offered by the
Petaluma, CA laboratory. The demand for testing services within
these sectors has been phenomenal over the past year and
California has been a driver for this growth.
Chuck Hecht has been named as the Account
Executive for the West Coast and will manage the Los Angeles, CA
location. Chuck will also work closely with the GeneScan
laboratory, the leading GMO testing and Identity Preservation
certification provider, which recently joined the Eurofins
Group. Several years experience in the dietary supplement and
natural product testing industry and in the Identity
Preservation certification industry will enable Chuck to provide
clients with analytical solutions based on real world
experience.
The pending final rule for Good Manufacturing
Practices within the Dietary Supplement industry has already
begun to change quality control practices and encouraged buyers
and producers alike to more intensively monitor their products
and ingredients. This development, along with the renewed
vibrancy of the dietary supplement industry, is expected to
expand the growth of new and higher quality products that will
require testing on a more frequent basis. Other recent market
forces such as low-carbohydrate diet plans, Organic and Identity
Preserved foods, and non-GMO ingredients continue to drive the
development of new products requiring highly sophisticated
testing capabilities such as those offered by Eurofins
Scientific.
