A new companion fungicide, T-22 for Corn, improves yield, provides season-long disease protection

Advanced Biological Marketing has introduced T-22 for Corn, a new companion fungicide that has been proven to increase yield while protecting corn from disease for the entire growing season.

T-22 for Corn is a companion fungicide that works differently than traditional fungicides to provide season long protection from disease. T-22 for Corn contains a unique strain of the beneficial fungus Trichoderma harzianum Rifai that works on many corn hybrids, growing with the root system of the plant. T-22 for Corn was developed at Cornell University, and has been proven to protect corn plants from soil-borne pathogens Pythium, Fusarium, Sclerotina and Rhizoctonia.

T-22 for Corn is both EPA approved and certified organic and does not affect ground water or runoff.

T-22 for Corn helps to develop a more robust root system to absorb and carry more nutrients to the plant. The result is a healthier plant that is sturdier, resists lodging and becomes easier to harvest.

The fungicide has been thoroughly tested for the past seven years in university direct comparisons. T-22 for Corn has proven to increase yield by up to 4.37 bushels per acre.

T-22 for Corn works best when used in conjunction with a traditional fungicide. Traditional fungicides work during the first few weeks of a plant’s life then become ineffective at preventing disease. T-22 for Corn begins to work at this point in the plant’s life and protects the plant from disease for the remainder of the plant’s life. T-22 for Corn is compatible with other seed treatments.

T-22 for Corn is recommended for use and has been proven to be effective on many corn hybrids.

“T-22 for Corn is effective in most soil types and is compatible with commercially applied seed treatments,” said Dan Custis, president of Advanced Biological Marketing. “We believe that T-22 for Corn usage is an absolutely necessary element of corn farming today, particularly when you factor in the additional profit that can be earned.”
