Mycogen Seeds announces the addition of Cruiser^® DM Pak to 17 sunflower hybrids in its product lineup. The new Cruiser DM Pak offers the insect protection of Cruiser insecticide and the disease protection of new Dynasty^™ fungicide plus Apron XL^® and Maxim^® 4FS fungicides for a complete sunflower protection package.

Cruiser DM Pak seed treatment provides superior sunflower protection against damage and stand loss caused by early season soil and foliar insects, including pale striped flea beetles, sunflower beetles and wireworms. Plus, with the addition of Dynasty fungicide, Cruiser DM Pak protects young sunflower seedlings against early season diseases from all four fungal groups, including downy mildew.

“Cruiser DM Pak helps ensure maximum potential plant stand establishment which  enables fast, vigorous starts, resulting in higher potential yield and oil content,” says Keith Porter, Marketing Specialist, Mycogen Seeds. “We are very excited to offer this new combination to our sunflower customers.”

Seventeen of Mycogen Seeds sunflower hybrids are available with Cruiser DM Pak for the 2005 growing season.

Cruiser DM Pak seed treatment for sunflowers offers a wide spectrum of disease protection against soil-borne diseases including downy mildew, rhizoctonia, phythium and

fusarium. “Sunflowers treated with Cruiser DM Pak showed a 47 percent increase in control against downy mildew versus untreated sunflowers,” Porter explains.
