INCOTEC offers INCOTEC 400 OnX Organic Lettuce, a new light weight lettuce pellet, to U.S. growers
Salinas, California
September 10, 2004

Effective immediately, INCOTEC, Integrated Coating and Seed Technology, Inc., in Salinas, California is offering INCOTEC 400 OnX Organic Lettuce to the professional organic lettuce market. This new pellet compliments the following organic products released earlier in 2004: Splitkote Organic Lettuce, Splitkote Special Organic Lettuce, Splitkote Organic Carrot, OnX Organic Lettuce and OnX Special Organic Lettuce.

INCOTEC 400 OnX Organic Lettuce is a light weight encrustment, very similar in appearance and color to INCOTEC’s widely accepted conventional OnX product.

This new product conforms to the NOP rules and has been approved by the California Crop Improvement Association.

All Organic products are available for Organic growers who use conventional or precision planters and need coatings that have excellent quality, uniformity, and plantability.

INCOTEC 400 OnX Organic Lettuce was trialed in the extreme July heat in Yuma, Arizona.  This new Organic product performed exceptionally well compared to other organic products.  The pellet may also be combined with INCOTEC’s Organic priming and in this form will be called INCOTEC 400 OnX Special Organic.

This lightweight Organic coating will soon be available on carrot as INCOTEC 400 Organic with a pellet size of 11.5 and on lettuce as INCOTEC 400 Organic with pellet sizes of 112x218 and 13.0.  Look for these products to be released in the near future.

Suzie Yamanishi, IPR Manager is the US states: “We are very excited at INCOTEC to be able to respond to our customers requests for a lighter weight pellet in such a short amount of time.  The combined research efforts of the Integrated Technology Research group from INCOTEC  in the Netherlands and the Integrated Product Research group in Salinas is paying off”.

INCOTEC is a worldwide leader in coating and seed technology serving the vegetable, ornamental and agronomic seed business.
