Agromek
2005 top
arable farming products award
given for new field sprayer and new filters
The Agromek 2005 Award in
the arable farming products category was presented for a
newly developed field sprayer plus two new filters for
large field sprayers. These products are
manufactured by
Hardi
International A/S, Taastrup, Denmark.
Agromek is northern
Europe’s premier new agricultural technology tradeshow.
The Agromek 2005 Award
was presented for the Hardi Commander 3200 and 4400
trailer sprayers and for the self-cleaning Hardi
CycloneFilter and for the Hardi EasyClean suction
filter. These New Product exhibits were presented for
the first time in the world at Agromek 2005. The two
filters are parts of the new Commander sprayers, but
they will also be applied on other sprayers in the
future.
The judgement committee is of the
opinion that these are significant new products which
contain a number of new details that will benefit both
the general environment and the working environment.
The committee have taken particular
note of the new steering system, SafeTrack, which
ensures that the spray boom is at a right angle to the
field edge when stop/start spraying at turns. This means
that overlapping will be at a minimum. The design also
ensures improved stability of the field sprayer.
In addition, the judgement committee
remarked that the new fluid system, LookAhead, among
other advantages, ensures full output immediately after
each turn. The agent filling system, ChemFiller, is
another notable new feature of the new Commander series.
This system ensures high speed mixing of powdered
agents.
The judgement committee also
accentuates the flushing system which has a 500 litre
water tank and a 15 bar flushing hose, which simplifies
flushing of the sprayer in the field before spray fluid
residue can dry fast in the spray system.
The self-cleaning pressure filters is
located at an easily accessible working height so that
it can be reached from the ground. The suction filter is
easily cleaned and suction from the bottom of the tank
ensures that there is only a small amount of spray fluid
remaining in the system after spraying operations.
