Advanced Biological Marketing,
makers of
America’s Best Inoculant, recently introduced
a high concentrate inoculant
specifically designed for custom soybean seed treatment. Custom
treaters planning to apply new insecticides, along with
inoculants and fungicides, potentially face wetter seeds coming
out of the treater. The new concentrate will allow a full rate
of nitrogen-fixing rhizobia at one-third the volume of existing
formulations. The result will be greatly reduced bridging and
clumping, making pre-treating soybeans easier and more
effective.
The America’s Best Inoculant‘, 3.1 liter high concentrate has
been developed for co-application with insecticides and
fungicides. Previously, seed custom treaters who applied with
inoculants, fungicides and insecticides all at once had problems
with wet soybeans bridging during handling. With America’s Best
Inoculant’s 3.1 liter high concentrate, the bacteria amount is
the same, but there is less liquid and reduced clumping. The
product is also compatible with most registered insecticides and
common fungicide products.
“Our research has found that 3.1 liter high concentrate offers
dryer soybeans from the treater and greatly enhanced seed
flowability,” said Dan Custis, president of Advanced Biological
Marketing. “The other key benefit is that it allows farmers to
use seed applied insecticides, fungicides and inoculants with
less frustration.”
Advanced Biological Marketing has also introduced America’s Best
Inoculant‘, sterile liquid in a 10 liter size (2.5 gallons),
which is the ideal size for seed treaters used by large farmers
who custom treat seeds. On average, one 10 liter jug inoculates
130 acres. There is no measuring; farmers simply pour the
inoculant directly in the seed treater or planter.
America’s Best Inoculant has a unique blend of
three highly effective proprietary strains of rhizobia bacteria.
It is adaptable to multiple soil types and conditions. This
formulation was developed by the foremost authority in the world
on rhizobia genetics. Four years of independent research
conducted by the Keystone Group, the Tryon Group and multiple
state university testing has been shown to increase soybean
yields by up to 14 bushels per acre, with most farmers
experiencing a yield increase of 4 to 5 bushels per acre.
