PICKSEED CANADA is pleased
to announce that Larry White, Sales Representative
for western Ontario has re-joined Pickseed after a brief
absence.
White is a
well-experienced turfgrass professional with a keen and intimate
understanding of the importance of reliable, consistent quality
of product in the field of Professional Turf.
He well
understands that the small seeded crops of Kentucky bluegrass,
Creeping bentgrass, Perennial ryegrass require meticulous
attention to the detail of high quality expressed in both
physical seed purity and healthy germination - all carefully
monitored in Pickseed's fully accredited Seed Laboratory. White
also appreciates being associated with an enterprise that has a
strong depth of proprietary research and development.
Pickseed
Canada in association with its U.S. (Oregon) based affiliates
operate one of North America's most intensive turfgrass
development programs. This Corvallis, Oregon based program
engages four plant breeders with integrated programs in the
development of Perennial ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, Creeping
bentgrass, Turf Tall fescues, Creeping, Chewings and Blue fine
fescues as well as certain niche species. The program holds more
than 100,000 breeding lines, synthesizing about 200 new
varieties annually. The result of this leading edge research is
available to White's client base with varieties that have
enhanced turf quality, better disease resistance, more sod
strength and faster establishment.
Larry will be
working closely with Paul Stevens, ProTurf Sales Manager
and Doug MacMillan, National Director-Sod Sales both
working from the Lindsay Head Office.
He will continue to operate from his base in London, ON.
