Results from Brazil’s 2004-5 growing season again prove that FOLICUR fungicide is best choice for Asian soybean rust control

Results from Brazil’s 2004-5 growing season are in. Once again FOLICUR® fungicide has shown why it’s the best choice for Asian soybean rust control.

In a range of trials comparing preventive (applied before infection) and curative (applied after low levels of infection were present) treatments:

  • FOLICUR consistently delivered the best preventive and curative activity of any fungicide tested.
  • FOLICUR provided better, more consistent control than Headline®, Quadris®, Domark® and Laredo® fungicides.
  • Even more important, FOLICUR performed where it really counts – in the soybean fields of Brazil where it has been the number one single fungicide for Asian soybean rust control.

Brazilian growers know they can count on FOLICUR for both preventive and curative activity, and you can, too.

If Asian soybean rust threatens your soybeans, think FOLICUR first.

Footnotes to preceding chart:

FOLICUR 3.6 F was evaluated in Brazil trials. This is the formulation registered in the US. FOLICUR was tank-mixed with a non-ionic adjuvant. The FOLICUR 3.6 F labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 3-4 fl oz/a.

STRATEGO 250 EC was evaluated in Brazil trials. This is the formulation registered in the US. STRATEGO was tank-mixed with a non-ionic adjuvant. The STRATEGO 250 EC labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 5.5 to 10 fl oz/a.

Laredo 250 EC (myclobutanil) was evaluated in Brazil trials. The rate used was 0.112 lb ai/a which equaled 8.6 fl oz/a of the US registered Laredo EW formulation. The Laredo EW labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 4.8 to 9.6 fl oz/a.

Domark 100 EC and Eminent 125SL (tetraconazole) were evaluated in Brazil trials. The rate used was 0.076 lb ai/a which equaled 5.1 fl oz/a of the US registered Domark 230 ME formulation. The Domark 230 ME labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 4 to 6 fl oz/a.

The formulation of Headline (pyraclostrobin) evaluated in Brazil trials was Cabrio 250 EC . The rates used were 0.1 and 0.15 lb ai/a which equaled 6.2 and 9.2 fl oz/a of the US registered Headline 250 EC formulation. The Headline 250 EC labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 6 -12 fl oz/a.

Quadris 2F (azoxystrobin) was evaluated in Brazil trials. This is the formulation registered in the US. The Quadris 2F labeled rate range for Asian soybean rust control in the US is 6.2 -15.4 fl oz/a
