The Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) adopted 13 new recommendations at its latest meeting, including a recommendation entitled, "Advice on the report of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on the Genetic Use Restriction Technologies."

The meeting took place February 7-11, 2005 in Bangkok, Thailand.

SBSTTA is an open-ended inter-governmental scientific advisory body of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
