Oliver Manufacturing Company Inc. has announced the completion of an agreement for the purchase of the Gustafson SIZE RIGHT® Precision Sizer product line from Gustafson LLC, a subsidiary of Bayer CropScience LLP.

The SIZE RIGHT® (photo) is a precise cylinder particle sizer designed for efficiency and safety.  The machine is used to grade particles by their physical dimension of width and thickness, and is used on a variety of products such as corn, popcorn, peanuts, sunflowers, cereals, beans, vegetable seed, grass seed, rice, soybeans or plastic pellets.

Oliver is a worldwide supplier of fluidized bed equipment used for agricultural and industrial dry material, particle separations.   The SIZE RIGHT® will be a complimentary addition to Oliver’s existing machines including the Hi-Cap® and Maxi-Cap® Gravity Separators and Destoners, and FBD Dryers.  Oliver is celebrating 75 years of operation and has extensive experience providing separating solutions for their customers.

The closing date for the transaction was August 31, 2005 and Oliver expects to have full manufacturing capability by October 31, 2005.  Both companies have spent considerable time planning this transition to make it as seamless as possible.

Oliver has the core capabilities to design, manufacture and service the existing Gustafson products, and the engineering and applications expertise to develop product enhancements and extensions in the future.
