better for our customers.”
The new 2006 FS HiSOY Soybean products include the
following:

a tall canopy and excellent ability to adapt to stress and
lighter soils. It has good standability and emergence. It
has a Rps 1c Phytophthora Root Rot resistance gene and
handles most Iron Chlorosis environments.
HS 2645
is a mid Group II Roundup Ready® variety with a tall canopy
and excellent ability to adapt to stress and lighter soils.
It has good standability and emergence. It has a Rps 1c
Phytophthora Root Rot resistance gene and handles most Iron
Chlorosis environments.
HS 2846
is a late Group II Roundup Ready® variety with SCN
resistance. It is a very attractive plant type that is
medium tall in height and medium in width. It has the Rps 1c
gene for Phytophthora Root Rot resistance and is resistant
to Brown Stem Rot. It emerges quickly and stands well to
harvest.
HS 3046
is a very early Group III Roundup Ready® variety with
excellent yield potential and strong cyst resistance. It is
a relatively tall variety with very good standability and a
good shattering score. It has the Rps 1c gene for
Phytophthora Root Rot resistance, has good Brown Stem Rot
resistance. It shows good field resistance to Sclerotinia
White Mold and Sudden Death Syndrome.
HS 3048
is an early Group III Roundup Ready® variety with the CystX®
Silver brand of SCN resistance. It is a medium height
variety with a medium width canopy type. HS 3048 emerges
and stands well.
HS 3346
is a mid Group III Roundup Ready® variety
with SCN resistance. It emerges and stands well and
tolerates drought stress very well. It is medium tall and
has a medium width canopy that will work in all row widths.
It has the Rps 1k gene for Phytophthora Root Rot resistance
and is resistant to Brown Sterm Rot.
HS 3348
is a mid Group III Roundup Ready® variety with the CystX®
Silver SCN resistance. It is a medium height variety with a
medium width canopy type. HS 3348 emerges and stands well
and is currently being screened for phytophtora resistance
and it has field tolerance to Phytophthora Root Rot.
HS 3646
is a mid Group III Roundup Ready® variety with SCN
resistance and exceptional yield performance. It has the Rps
1c gene for Phytophthora Root Rot resistance and moderate
resistance to Brown Stem Rot and Sclerotinia White Mold. It
has very good Sudden Death Syndrome and Frogeye Leaf Spot
resistance. It has great yield for the highly productive
soils and will maintain its height and productivity under
more stressful conditions as well.
HS 3846
is a late Group III Roundup Ready® variety with SCN. It has
the Rps 1c for Phytophthora Root Rot resistance and good
field resistance to Phytophthora, Sudden Death Syndrome and
Brown Stem Rot. It is relatively tall with good canopy
width which should allow its use in all row widths.
HS 4046
is a very early Group IV Roundup Ready® variety with SCN
resistance. It is a wider canopy variety with a lot of
branching that is an excellent offensive variety that can
stand a lot of stress and go south well. It emerges well and
has good standability when plant populations are kept at
moderate levels. It has very good Frogeye Leaf Spot and
Sudden Death Syndrome field resistance, as well as
satisfactory Phytophthora Root Rot tolerance.
HS 4341
is a traditional mid Group IV variety with SCN resistance.
It has a medium tall plant type and a good standability
score. Research tests have shown it to have a significant
yield advantage over many popular varieties. It has good
field tolerance to Phytophthora Root Rot and good tolerance
to Sudden Death Syndrome and Brown Stem Rot.
HS 4646
is a mid-Group IV Roundup Ready® variety with SCN resistance
that shows yield advantages over many popular varieties. It
is a medium height variety with an intermediate canopy that
should work well in all row widths. It has very good
emergence, good standability. It has good field tolerance to
Phytophthora Root Rot and Sudden Death Syndrome.
FS
Seed Corn also has a great line up for 2006. “FS Corn is keeping
pace with advancing seed technologies, proven performance and
new genetics.” says Jim Happel, FS seed corn product manager for
GROWMARK Inc. “We have built the FS Seed corn product line as
one of the broadest seed lines available for customer needs.”
The new 2006 FS Corn Hybrids include a few of the
following:
FS 4886 RR,
a 104 day hybrid, is the Roundup Ready® version of our
popular FS 4882 genetics. FS 4886 RR has fast emergence and
early spring vigor with excellent stalks and roots.
FS 5086 YGCB,
a 105 day hybrid, offers high performance with solid
agronomics to rapidly make it a market leader. Quick to
emerge and fast to dry, this hybrid has the advantage over
later-maturing hybrids.
FS 5266 RR/YGPL,
a 107 day hybrid, is a triple-stacked Biotech hybrid.
Similar in genetics to FS 5221, it has good fall appearance
and very high yield potential.
FS 6297 RR/YGCB,
a 110 day hybrid, offers very similar genetics to FS 6196.
It has excellent emergence; great early vigor in the spring;
and great disease tolerance in the fall, and excellent yield
potential.
FS 6466 RR/YGPL,
a 112 day hybrid, is a triple-stacked hybrid with the same
outstanding genetics as FS 6432. Growers can depend on the
outstanding yields this genetic platform has provided in the
past.
FS 6737 YGCB,
a 113 day hybrid,
is the YieldGard® Corn Borer version of, FS 6735. It will
have the same great stalk, root and grain quality as FS 6735
and excellent yield potential.
FS 6756 RR/YGCB,
a 113 day hybrid, has excellent disease resistance combined
with a sound agronomy package. It has very good fall
integrity combined with excellent yield potential and will
work in all soil types.
FS 7347 RR/YGCB,
a 116 day hybrid, a genetic mate to FS 7346
YGCB, will respond to high management, though its ear flex
will allow this hybrid to be used where high populations are
limited. As with FS 7346 YGCB, this new hybrid is most
impressive at harvest with its excellent staygreen and high
yields.
7436 YGCB,
a 117 day hybrid, is a hybrid that is widely adaptable to
all soils and environmental conditions across the FS market
territory. FS 7436 YGCB has the outstanding yield and
agronomics needed to make it a leading hybrid.
7467 RR/YGCB,
a 117 day hybrid, can be used for silage, but is best suited
for grain production. It offers a great deal of tolerance
to heat and drought stress. For a tall hybrid, it has
excellent standability and good roots.
