Bayer CropScience and Nufarm have entered into a multi-year supply and distribution agreement for DFF® (diflufenican) and DFF®-based products in Europe. The contract was signed on July 20, 2006.
Financial terms of this agreement were not disclosed.

DFF® was discovered by Bayer CropScience and is today a key component for an effective weed control program in cereals. Bayer CropScience and Nufarm expect that by the supply and distribution agreement the market of diflufenican-based products across Europe will be further expanded through the individual strengths of their distribution channels across Europe.

Nufarm’s Group General Manager of Agriculture, Brian Benson, said DFF® is an important addition to Nufarm’s European product portfolio and an ideal mixture option with Nufarm’s core chemistries. "This agreement facilitates our immediate entry into several European markets with a number of existing DFF® formulations and allows us to develop new formulations that will extend our reach into new crop segments."

Bayer CropScience und Nufarm haben ein mehrjähriges Liefer- und Vertriebsabkommen für DFF® (Diflufenican) und Produkte auf DFF®-Basis in Europa abgeschlossen. Der Vertrag wurde am 20. Juli 2006 unterzeichnet. Über die finanziellen Konditionen dieses Abkommens wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart.

DFF® wurde von Bayer CropScience entwickelt und ist heute aus Programmen zur effektiven Unkrautbekämpfung bei Getreide nicht mehr wegzudenken. Bayer CropScience und Nufarm gehen davon aus, dass durch das Liefer- und Vertriebs-abkommen der Markt für Produkte auf Diflufenican-Basis weiter ausgebaut werden kann, indem beide Unternehmen die individuellen Stärken ihrer jeweiligen europaweiten Vertriebskanäle nutzen.
