Becker Underwood names Stephanie Zumbach and Charlie Hale as Product Managers in the seed enhancements group

Becker Underwood has named Stephanie Zumbach and Charlie Hale as product managers for the company’s seed enhancements group.

Stephanie Zumbach joined the company in January 2004 as a customer service representative. Stephanie came to Becker Underwood from Syngenta Seeds. In her new role, she will focus on meeting the product development and support needs of the company’s North American customer base in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Zumbach is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Studies. A northeast Iowa native, she grew up on a farm with livestock operations as well as corn and soybean production.


Charlie Hale joins Becker Underwood after career assignments at Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., and Mycogen Seeds plus eight years as a partner in a Des Moines-based communications agency.

Most recently, he held communications management positions with Gustafson LLC and Bayer CropScience. Charlie will focus on supporting and coordinating activities of the company’s international business, including activities of branch offices in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, France and New Zealand who are frequently serving the same global customer.

In addition, he will serve as marketing communications lead for the company’s horticultural specialties business.

A Texas native and graduate of Texas A&M University, Hale also grew up on a farm. He is married to an Iowa native and notes that this is his third assignment in Iowa.
