Seminis has announced it is streamlining the company’s research and development efforts to focus on 25 core crops that make up the majority of the global vegetable seed market. As a result, the company is making an “exit” from several of its vegetable seed portfolios.

Seminis is currently seeking parties interested in purchasing several of these portfolios, including beets, brussel sprouts, celery, coriander and endive.

Parties interested in learning about the opportunities associated with these specific crops should contact Bill Goodbar, Managing Director, AgriCapital Corporation, at 212-944-9500 or goodbar@agricapital.com prior to Feb. 28, 2007.

Seminis also has several other crops available as a part of its “exit” strategy. If you’re interested in learning more about these businesses, please contact Leigh Utterback at 805-918-2217 or leigh.utterback@seminis.com
