Syngenta announced today that John Ramsay, Group Financial
Controller, will succeed Domenico Scala as Chief Financial
Officer with immediate effect.
Domenico Scala has decided to pursue a career as chief executive
of another company which plans to make an announcement in due
course.
Michael Pragnell, Chief Executive Officer said: “John has been
instrumental in the success of Syngenta since its creation in
2000 and I am delighted to announce his appointment as Chief
Financial Officer. His financial acumen and experience will
enable him to play an important role in Syngenta’s future.
Domenico has made a significant contribution during his four
years with the company and we wish him every success in his new
career.”
Biography: John Ramsay (49) has been Group Financial Controller
since 2000. Prior to that he was Zeneca Agrochemicals Finance
Head Asia Pacific (1994 to 1999), Financial Controller ICI
Malaysia (1990-1993) and ICI Plant Protection Regional
Controller Latin America (1987 to 1990). Prior to joining ICI in
1984 he worked in Audit and Tax at KPMG. Born in Scotland, he is
a Chartered Accountant and also holds an honours degree in
Finance and Accounting.

Syngenta hat bekannt gegeben, dass
John Ramsay, Group Financial Controller, mit sofortiger Wirkung
die Nachfolge des Chief Financial Officer Domenico Scala
antreten wird.
Domenico Scala verlässt Syngenta, um bei einem anderen
Unternehmen die Position des CEO zu übernehmen; eine
Bekanntmachung dazu soll in Kürze erfolgen.

John Ramsay (49) ist seit dem Jahr 2000 Group Financial
Controller von Syngenta. Zuvor war er Finance Head Asia Pacific
bei Zeneca Agrochemicals (1994-1999), Financial Controller bei
ICI Malaysia (1990-1993) und Regional Controller Latin America
bei ICI Plant Protection (1987-1990). Vor seinem Eintritt bei
ICI im Jahr 1984 war er bei KPMG im Bereich Audit and Tax tätig.
John Ramsay ist Chartered Accountant und hat einen Abschluss in
Finance und Accounting. Er wurde in Schottland geboren.

Syngenta a annoncé aujourd’hui la
nomination avec effet immédiat, de John Ramsay, Group Financial
Controller, au poste de Chief Financial Officer, succédant à
Domenico Scala.
Domenico Scala a décidé de poursuivre sa carrière en tant que
Chief Executive Officer d’une autre entreprise, laquelle
publiera cette nomination en temps voulu.

Biographie: John Ramsay (49 ans) était Group Financial

Finance Head Asia Pacific chez Zeneca Agrochemicals (de 1994 à

(1987 à 1990). Avant de rejoindre ICI il a travaillé dans le
