Nunhems BV announces the
appointment of Dr. Johan Peleman as Managing Director Research &
Development. Dr. Johan Peleman, 46 with Belgian nationality will
succeed Dr. Orlando de Ponti as Managing Director R&D in the
course of 2007 and started at Nunhems headquarters in Haelen,
the Netherlands on March 1 2007.
Mr. Douwe Zijp, Chief Executive Officer of Nunhems comments:

solutions into our global breeding activities. Johan will
further expand our innovative capabilities to create new

In 1989 Johan started his career at the State University of
Ghent as a scientist. In 1990, he joined the start-up biotech
company Keygene, where he pioneered the application of DNA
markers to innovate breeding. In 2004 he was appointed Director
Applied Research of Keygene in Wageningen, the Netherlands. In
this position Johan was part of the management board. In his new
function as Nunhems Managing Director R&D and Board Member,
Johan will be responsible for the management and organization of
the global Nunhems R&D division and for the overall Nunhems R&D
strategy and policy.
