Philom Bios Inc. is
pleased to announce it has been awarded the prestigious Federal
Partner in Technology Transfer (FPTT) Award for Excellence in
Technology Transfer along with Agriculture and Agri-Food
Canada’s (AAFC) Lethbridge Research Centre.
Philom Bios and the Lethbridge
Research Centre received the award for the successful
development and commercialization of natural phosphate
efficiency inoculants that produce higher yields of cereals,
oilseeds and legumes. The phosphate efficiency technology has
been commercialized as JumpStart®, the world’s first phosphate
inoculant for cereals and oilseeds and TagTeam®, the world’s
only MultiAction nitrogen and phosphate legume inoculant.
Since 1998 FPTT Technology
Transfer Awards have honoured 48 teams and individuals for their
work in research and development or the commercialization of its
results. The awards program reflects best practices of the
public and private sectors to develop techniques, services and
products that create jobs, contribute to the economic and
social well being of Canadians and cultivate new markets abroad.
