EnviroLogix Inc.
announces that its QuickStix Kit for Herculex RW has received a
Certificate of Performance from USDA’s Grain Inspection, Packers
and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA). The kit detects the
presence of Cry34 protein in corn at a threshold of 1
genetically modified seed in a pool of 200 non-transgenic seeds.
EnviroLogix’ QuickStix test kits provide easily understood
“yes/no” results within 2-5 minutes for testing grain at the
elevator or wherever convenience and speed are critical.
And because QuickStix Strips for Herculex RW are optimized to
work with the Common Extraction protocol, they can be
incorporated into QuickCombs™ with any combination of our other
seven GMO bulk grain strips.
Simply extract the corn sample with tap water, drop in the
QuickStix or QuickComb, and read the result. The innovations of
Common Extraction and QuickComb assemblies have saved
preparation and testing time for hundreds of facilities that
need to run multiple tests on a sample, streamlining protocols
and increasing throughput.
An added benefit of the QuickStix Strips for Herculex RW is
their ability to be analyzed by the QuickStix Reader™. Another
EnviroLogix innovation, the QuickStix Reader is programmed to
read and interpret the intensity of the test line and indicate
the level or concentration in the sample. Rapid
semi-quantitative results provide a reliable basis for making
accept/reject decisions when accuracy, speed, and practicality
collide. And its ability to communicate readily with common
software makes recording and tracking data simple.
Along with meeting high standards for production and performance
quality, EnviroLogix products are well supported with in-field
personnel and excellent technical service. Our Technical
Services Department is always pleased to work with customers to
tailor a sampling plan that will fit their specific needs.
The QuickStix Kit for Herculex RW (Cat. No. AS 054 BG) contains
strips and disposables for 100 tests. Detailed information on
