.

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
August 7, 2008

BASF Turf & Ornamentals today announced the launch of Onetime™ herbicide, featuring a combination of new liquid-quinclorac-based Drive® XLR8 herbicide from BASF with MCPP-P and dicamba for control of more than 70 annual broadleaf and grassy weeds.

Onetime herbicide is a soluble liquid formation that controls challenging weeds, including crabgrass, foxtail, kikuyugrass, clover, dandelion, henbit, spurge and torpedograss. It is labeled for use on golf courses, residential and commercial lawns, athletic fields, parks, playgrounds, cemeteries and school grounds.

Its Drive XLR8 component provides fast entry into the plant, rainfastness in 30 minutes and more effective and consistent control of grassy and broadleaf weeds than other products . Onetime can be tank mixed with most other commonly used products, including pendimethalin-based Pendulum® herbicide to enhance residual control. Onetime does not contain 2, 4-D.

Turf tolerance for Onetime includes both cool- and warm-season grasses, such as perennial ryegrass, creeping bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, creeping red fescue, zoysiagrass, hybrid bermudagrass, buffalograss and seashore paspalum.
