Wilmington, Delaware
January 24, 2008

DuPont has received federal registration approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for two corn herbicides: Resolve® Q (mp) and Require™ Q (mp).

Both new herbicides feature DuPont™ Q brand safener technology, which provides corn growers with the flexibility to confidently apply the new herbicides under more diverse weather conditions, across more hybrids and with a wider range of adjuvants.

"Resolve® Q and Require™ Q herbicides offer advanced weed control for today's toughest weed challenges, including sound management of glyphosate-resistant and/or tolerant weeds," said Jim Collins, vice president and general manager, DuPont Crop Protection. "The introduction of these two new herbicides is another example of how DuPont is harnessing its patented, homogeneous blend technology to provide growers with answers to shifting weed control problems faster than ever before."

According to Jim, the introduction of DuPont™ Resolve® Q and Require™ Q follows the introduction of two new herbicide blends in soybeans, Enlite™ and Envive™; as well as a new wheat herbicide, Agility™. "These are all examples of how DuPont is delivering on its promise to renew its product portfolio with herbicides that meet the needs of growers today and in the future," he said.
