Reinforcing its corporate
commitment to be “Always Thinking Ahead,”
Becker Underwood
has elevated seed and chemical industry veteran Kyle Payne to
the new position of national accounts manager for the U.S.
inoculant business.
According to Paul Holliday, Business Unit Head – Inoculants, the
position of national accounts manager was created to help ensure
Becker Underwood continues to effectively anticipate and meet
the changing needs of its largest customers.
“As the industry has evolved in recent years, the business
operations of several of our key distributor customers have
become multi-state or even national in scope,” he says. “We
created the position of national accounts manager to deliver the
specialized customer service that we feel is necessary to
continue to succeed in this market segment.”
As the new national accounts manager, Payne will act as the
Becker Underwood liaison with key personnel at the headquarters
of each national account. His primary role will be to provide
personalized customer service in the form of strategic planning,
product planning and product demand forecasting designed to
achieve business objectives for the Becker Underwood products
they market.
Holliday says Payne’s deep and varied background in the seed and
chemical industries will make him an asset to both Becker
Underwood and the clients he’ll serve.
“Kyle is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of relevant
and valuable experience to this position,” Holliday notes. “He
has excelled as a territory manager for Becker Underwood. Prior
to joining our company, he held key positions with both
distributors and manufacturers, which will enable him to bring a
client sensibility to his role. I firmly believe our key
distributor-customers will value the insight and counsel Kyle
will provide, and I’m confident he’ll help us further deepen our
relationships with these important clients.”
Payne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural
Business and Agronomy from Western Illinois University, and is
Certified Crop Advisory (CCA). Payne will relocate from his
Illinois sales territory to the Becker Underwood corporate
headquarters in Ames, Iowa.
