The multinational company
Syngenta has issued
the 9th edition of S&G Peppers Today through S&G, its
horticultural seed brand for vegetables in Europe, Africa and
the Middle East. S&G Peppers Today is a communication tool
specifically centred around the world of peppers, and it has
been developed for all S&G clients in the business chain, with
information on production, processing and trading.
The 9th edition of
S&G Peppers Today focuses on:
- Pepper consumption in the
UK: when are peppers most likely to be eaten in the United
Kingdom? Is there a pepper time after tea time? Discover the
most popular time in British homes for enjoying our
favourite vegetable.
- F&V consumption:
communication activities to promote F&V consumption are
important, since school programmes and projects to encourage
children to eat F&V are not working well enough. How can we
ensure that children have a balanced and healthy diet?
- Distribution chain: Mr.
Aurelio del Pino González, Director of ACES, talks about the
challenges facing the F&V distribution chain in Spain.
- US pepper imports: the
fresh pepper trade in the United States is dominated by the
country’s partners in the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA), Mexico and Canada. We look at the latest
figures announced by the United States Department of
Agriculture (USDA), as well as US pepper import statistics
for 1990-2006.
- Further topics: our
regular meeting point section and a delicious pepper recipe!
S&G Peppers Today is available in
digital format at
Peppers Today and appears every two months in HTML format.
