INCOTEC-Proteios, a unique ag company, opens doors in South Africa

Cutting edge technology, whereby the whole spectrum of the agricultural industry in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa will benefit, is now independently available in South Africa. The new South African based company is named: INCOTEC-PROTEIOS South Africa.

This multi-million rand venture, a manufacturing plant and bio-technology laboratory, is a joint venture between the Dutch based INCOTEC Group and a South African partner.

Under the brand name INCOTEC, the newly erected company will be offering all kinds of services to the seed industry like unique and high quality film coating technologies to enhance all kinds of seeds.

Next to that the company has set up a brand new bio-tech lab to offer services under the brand name PROTEIOS to the seed industry in South Africa and the Sub-Sahara region in the field of all kinds of DNA and protein analysis.

The C.E.O. of the INCOTEC Group, Mr. JanWillem Breukink, indicates: “Our company is a green high-tech company offering all kinds of products and services to the global seed industry. We are very proud to have expanded our activities to the African continent and expect to introduce unique technologies there based on many years of research and know-how”.

The General Manager of INCOTEC-PROTEIOS South Africa, Mr. Hannes Hatting: “We are excited to start introducing these innovative products from the INCOTEC Group and see enormous potential for the technologies of INCOTEC and PROTEIOS that are being used very successfully on a large scale all over the world.”

INCOTEC, a fully independent company operating worldwide, is the leading seed technology company offering all kinds of seed enhancement technologies, like seed priming, seed coating technology, seed pelleting, seed disinfection and seed upgrading for vegetable, agronomic and flower seeds, and has facilities in the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, China, India, Brazil and the USA.

Proteios, which is part of the INCOTEC Group, offers services including an extensive range of DNA and protein analysis, targeting amongst others the seed industry.
