Working Document of the GMO Panel on the interplay between Directive 2001/18/EC (GMOs) and Directive 91/414/EEC (Plant Protection Products)

The EFSA GMO Panel, requested to carry out the Environmental Risk Assessment of genetically modified herbicide tolerant (GM HT) plants, has developed a working document proposing different approaches on how to deal with the interplay between the risk assessment of GM HT crops and the risk assessment of the associated herbicides. EFSA consulted the European Commission on the appropriateness of the approaches proposed. Commission response is also made available to you.
