BioWorks announces lower REI and new package for MilStop broad spectrum foliar fungicide

.

Victor, New York
September 1, 2003

BioWorks Inc. announced today that the US Environmental Protection Agency has granted a 1-hour Restricted Entry Interval ("REI") for MilStop, a broad spectrum foliar fungicide based on potassium bicarbonate. In addition, BioWorks announced that MilStop is now packaged in easy-to-handle plastic buckets.

MilStop is a foliar-applied product that works well in an integrated program with BioWorks' biofungicides PlantShield® HC and RootShield® Granules, as well as all other commonly used fungicides. Commenting on MilStop's REI reduction and new package, BioWorks' President & CEO, Bill Foster, stated, "We hope that the 1-hour REI and plastic bucket provide greater convenience to growers. MilStop is a very cost-effective product to cure and prevent Powdery Mildew, as well as prevent many other foliar diseases. Currently MilStop is available in a five pound bucket, and will soon be available in a 25 pound bucket as well."

Mr. Foster noted that MilStop has recently submitted for organic certification.

BioWorks, Inc., a privately held company, provides environmentally responsible, safe and cost-effective solutions to the horticulture industry.
